lol well you are twice my age but yes being 26 and having to pay for two insurance bills every 6 months ain't cheap! If you don't mind me asking how much do you pay for yours??

I've got full coverage on the 2010 Tahoe, and several years ago dropped collision and comprehensive on my 1995 Chevy pickup. The six-month payment I made last week was $466.80.

Don't tell anyone, but I'm thinking about "retiring" the 1995 Chevrolet pickup in about two years by stepping on the gas pedal, rather than the brake, when some idiot pulls out in front of me. Of course, it wouldn't be my fault, and it would relieve decades of frustration dealing with dumb-asses. :evillol:

So, I'm not an insurance expert or anything, but if the police would have found the other guy at fault, would your truck be getting fixed for free?

Yes. Theoretically if the guy had insurance.

So, second place quoted me 11k. I'm going to go get one more opinion, then go to the cheapest, and save about 1k by having them order from gmpartsdirect because they are charging premiums for these things that are 40% off a gmpd.

Nice job getting multiple quotes. :waytogo: there's always more damage underneath what we see on the surface. The only way you may be able to get off cheaper is if you can get the body panels of another wrecked hoe that has a good drivers side :)

No way i would pay over 3k for that. 3k would get it done where im getting my explorer done right now. Im paying $20 for buff, paint, cover holes and well yea its looking good:)

It's probably alot less to fix a obs though not so many electrical issues and parts are way cheaper as well as quality in some cases

In this case, lets hope there isn't anymore damage inside. And I don't have the time to go hunting for parts from other wrecked tahoes right now...

3rd estimate: $4,100. Thank god. Going with Hendrick Collision Center! Waaaaaaay better than 11k.
