After 5 months ( which I see as pretty fast) I picked up the Tahoe yesterday. Rides vey nice . Getting acquainted with the Duramax . Not as zippy as the 5.3l in my trucks over 28 years or the 3.6l in the Blazer. But I'll take the fuel mileage over that. And it does have the heated seats and steering wheel. Only retrofit are parking sensors.

Congratulations! I bet you’re thrilled . I’ve got an xl duramax on the way and this feedback is really helpful . Does the 3.0 feel like it’s struggling at all when accelerating , either at a dead stop or at speed ?

Doesn't seem to struggle but it not real quick when you put the pedal to the floor. Like I said just a different mule compared to the 5.3. Again it's the MPG's that matter now. Driving it home on the highway in some inconsistent traffic speeds I was getting around 25mpg.

Beautiful color! Mine is a lot like yours but in Cherry Red Tintcoat.

You'll love the Duramax. Its my first diesel and I'm loving it as well. Just today I got 30.1 mpg on the way to work.

I drove the 5.3 and the 3.0 dmax and they are completely different beasts. You hardly need ANY throttle input to get it moving and the dmax has so much torque it doesn't seem to take much effort to increase the speed. Its a LOT quieter and more mellow than the 5.3l.
