Ok, thanks. I have a 2009 PPV but was just wondering which parts exactly where used to lower them and how much lowering is it. I'm wanting to lower it a bit more with McGhaughy's (*sp) parts.

That link lists all the parts used. Its a 2/2 drop.

How much lower do you want to go?
I'd like to drop mine a little more to but don't want to compromise the ride and handling. Not sure what route I'll be going. Not a typical drop though.

So it's basically 2" front lowering coils, front struts, shorter front endlinks, 2" rear lowering coils, rear shocks, shorter rear endlinks, and different bumpstops?

I'd like to lower it about 1" more up front and 2" in the rear. Still not 100% sure which route I want to go.

I'm with you, not sure which route either.
May start with spindles up front for another 2".
The back is where I'm not quite sure what to do. TBSS bags with some kind of coil-over assist.

It's more than that. The PPV springs have a much higher rate than stock Tahoe, and most lowering springs.

The key to how well the PPVs handle is because of the matched coils to the valved shocks.
The spring rates are greater, only because they are built for performance.
Unlike other drop companies who focus more on looks than handling.

The PPV suspension yields some awesome handling...compared to other GMT900 trucks, they have far less body lean and can be pushed much more on turns. In fact, the only "improvements" I feel the need to make are urethane bushings and Hellwig swaybars. Which is leading me to an interesting question: Could the Tahoe PPV swaybars be used on other GMT900 trucks? My stepdad just got a 2011 Suburban and if the sway bars I pull off my PPV work on a Suburban then I could let him have those for his truck.

I purchased a 2009 Tahoe Z56 PPV and am really happy with it. The only thing I don't like is the tires that came on it.. The previous owner put some BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A tires in a P265/70R17 tires on it.. So now the Speedometer is 5MPH low and the tires are noisy..
The stock Goodyears P265/60R17 RSA tires are 29.5 inches tall..

So I am looking into tires. I am thinking about a P275/60R17 or P275/55R17 tire.. Just wondering what others are running..

I want to add some fog lights in the stock location wondering about going to amber LED's as well..

Hi Paul,
I have also been in the market for tires for a while. I keep putting it off because of the tire options in 265/60/17 are so limited.

These are a couple of tires I've been looking at.

https://www.onlinetires.com/products/vehicle/tires/toyo/285%2F60-17+toyo+proxes+st+ii+114v+bsw.html

Proxes are 30.5" tall
11.22" wide
6.73" sidewall
95.7" in circumference
662.4 rev/mile

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tires/nitto/product/submitProductSize.do?r=NCRINT|pc|27511&pc=40566

NT 420s are 30" tall
10.83" wide
6.5" sidewall
92.4" in circumference
672.8 rev/mile

compared to the stock tire dimensions
29.5" tall
10.43" wide
6.26" sidewall
92.7" in circumference
683.6 rev/mile

Another choice are these.
