Dude, call the Chevy Dealership, give them your VIN and they can look it up and see if this issue pertains to your Tahoe.

Thanks, will do. I don't have a fuel filter (It's in the fuel pump) so I hope this applies to me and I really need to get my Hoe fixed by Friday

I doubt it'll be fixed by then (for some reason Stealerships seem to take forever, but it's possible if it gets there today)

If the recall isn't the issue, replace that shit yourself and have it done by Friday ;)

UGH, I have a trip planned to Niagara falls for next Monday to thursday with the girlfriend....might need to get cancelled now....sucks

Also my part should be here tomorrow so I am going to call shops and see what they charge as well as calling AAA about getting towed on a flatbed to a shop.

***Called the local Chevy dealer and there is no recall on my Tahoe after giving my VIN number...***

Update,

Called some shops in town and 1 founded very familiar with the issue. He said that stuff gets caught on top of tank where the fuel pump rests and rots out and causes the sender unit to rot and causes a leak when the system pressurizes. HE also said he couldn't give quote over phone until he saw it. He said Thursday morning he can take it in too. I'll keep this thread updated and anyone please put down some input if you have it!

Any idea what I'm looking at to pay for this? I already have the new fuel pump and using tools online it estimated that the repair is between $200-650 in labor. All dependent on where you go.
