The tires are great and I would buy them again. I have ~13k on them and they are wearing well (rotated 3 times now). I am running them at ~45 psi.
I would recommend them with a few caveats...
1. They are heavy so expect lower mpg.
2. They do "sing" at speed. I do not think it is that loud compared to other mud terrains. IMO the sound level falls in between ATs and MTs.
3. To maximize the tire footprint on the ground and also tread life, be prepared to run the pressure at ~45 psi. The combination of E load rating and relatively higher pressure stiffens the ride. I like it because it rides like a truck should, but those getting them for looks might not.
Yes these are to be expected, but I have seen some people (assuming noobs) complain about this.
Good luck and post your updated mods.
Hey guys, first time poster. I've got a 2012 suburban and I put in the rough country 2" leveling kit about a year ago. This is the leveling kit that goes underneath the strut.
I was thinking of bring the front end up a little more. Perhaps 1 more inch. With a strut spacer on top.
Wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to do so without having to get different upper control arms.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
