Can you change the tire size with the Tech 2?

I really need something that can do Cam and Crank correlations/relearn and throttle body/idle relearn as well.

I know I have done the crank relearn when I did my 5 spd swap(had to swap PCMs) on my '04 Colorado with my buddies Tech 2, but his was a real version and paid for the annual license.
Yes, you can change the tire size. AFAIK, anything you can do with the genuine Tech2, can also be done with the clones. The subscription would be to use TIS2000, which is needed for certain functions. And again, I’m fairly confident you can use a clone for any of those functions. The Tech2 just acts as a pass through while using TIS2000 type functions.

Thought this to be worth a mention... Be cautious with the cables on these. I can't say this is any different from clone to clone to genuine but mine did not appreciate repetitive flexing/twisting and shorted internally....

Though they are available for purchase separately I elected to fix mine as I like to fix things, only replacing when absolutely required....

Ok, great thanks for the information.

I might buy a clone for now and if I need more capabilities I can buy the Autel.

I think we just went through this on the tire size thread. I had told the OP if he could find someone with a Tech 2, he could recalibrate the tire size in his Truck. @Fless pointed out he didn't think the Tech 2 would affect tire size as it pertained to speedo calibrations.

I had seen a Tech 2 video where there was a specific page for inputting tire size to reset speedo calibration. Unfortunately, when I went back and found it on YouTube, it was for a Saab, which supports that function. On NBS trucks (what @Fless uses his on), there is a page to input tire size but it is for the ABS and didn't look like it affected speedo calibration.

I went back in and looked on my Tech 2 with my Yukon (NNBS) and couldn't find a page to even input the tire size for ABS purposes, let alone for speedo calibration.

I think the Net/Net is whether a Tech 2 can update tire size for speedo calibration likely is model specific, maybe just year specific, not sure.

Sorry if I just confused things further, but for certain, mine doesn't have the tire size page the Saab's have.

I found where I could set the tire pressure and type, but not size for my 2011. Have tried the other one yet.
The tire pressure and type setting only effects the TPMS warning system. With a stock tire, the warning light won't come on until the psi is down to like 20 or 22. I raised mine so that the warning will come on when psi is like 26 or 28, can't remember.

I like this. It reminds you to put in winter air and will give you more warning if you have a leak on the road. Perhaps in time to get to a station for repairs.
