Temp gauge rising and falling?

The temp gauge on my 99 2dr has started to rise to about 220 and then fall back down to about 160. It does this constantly while driving and while parked. Does anyone know what causes this? I am also getting a gurggling noise coming from the heater box.

Low fluid probably ...

The fluid is full. I'm starting to think it's either the water pump starting to go out or the radiator.

Just changed it and the temp sensor on the drivers side of the block.

Have you flushed the cooling system lately?

No. That's the next thing on my list along with getting the radiator boiled.

usually when you hear a gurgling noise, it has a water bubble (from previous exp) beats me tho

blowing any smoke? and when you say full, you mean the radiator is full not going off the reservoir full, right??

I have noticed a little smoke first then after I crank it up and that's the only time. Yeah, it's not going off of the reservoir. I'm probably just going to go ahead and replace the radiator, mainly because I don't think that it's ever been flushed and think it may be starting to clog.
