Yeah.

No one is forcing it though.

And the govt propped up the auto industry by building the road system and propped up trains by helping with the railways. Right or wrong, none of this is new.

They are, though. Not by propping the electrics up (as you point out, not new), but by crippling the existing industry with rules and regs. That is reasonably new.

I think we should stop feeding the troll. He’s been eating a bit much the last couple days.

Oh come on, have some fun, Sam! What else are we gonna do with all this plant protein?

Hey @cardude2000, did you see that story the other day about the vegan influencer who pissed off all of her followers by going full carnivore for a month and then said she was going to stay mainly on animal products because of how much better she felt at the end of it? Classic!

No. I have no idea what an influencer is....Thank God lol

I did however hear that in 2019 Americans reached the highest levels of obesity yet! ‘Murica!

Wow. I get busy for a day, and this thread goes nuts. Fun! Some good conversation here.

Nah, this is just for fun, right? I was just painting the picture a little so your conscience didn't bother you for cyber bullying me. No worries. I can hang. Lol.

Snowflakes.... yeah, they drive me nuts! I don't get offended by conversations about topics on which we disagree. I enjoy them. That's really what the whole thing boils down to, anyways, no? Raising people that are unable to cope with differences of opinion as opposed to hearing them and considering them valid? People who would throw bottles and command taxpayer funded police resources rather than let someone with an opposing viewpoint speak their mind? I get along great with lots of folks that think differently from me and vice versa. Take you and I, for example. We're besties, right? My dad used to say "Everybody's entitled to their own wrong opinion. Even me." Right he was.

Not sure about morbid obesity, but I hold the stance that it is absolutely not anybody's job (especially the government) to protect people from it with the exception of a parent protecting their child. People will make choices that make them fat and kill them. Let em.

Back to the Cybertruck...
I don't care if people like Teslas or want electric cars. It's when those people take issue with me liking my big gas guzzlers or want to take action to prevent me from doing so that I develop a problem. If a free market crushes the oil industry in favor of electric vehicles, so be it. I'll likely make biodiesel of my own. Now if the government says I can't.....hmmmm, not sure what I'd do. Maybe fight, maybe leave, maybe say "screw it" and buy a Tesla.

Story time...
I had some lady tell me off once because I had my truck running while I waited for my apprentice to come out from an apartment building. She commented in allusion to the fact that I was ruining the air she needed to breathe when she walked past me. My problem is that I react to that type of stimulus negatively. I put my right foot down a little (about 1500 rpm), held it there, and gave her permission to walk to her vehicle via any route she chose, as far away from my truck as she liked. She could even wait inside until I was gone or run fast and hold her breath. I choose to emit carbon monoxide at an elevated rate, and you can choose to it. Problem solved.

Allusion to the fact or alluding to the fact?

Lol. And you thought plants were healthy! Did you know that in the south, eating dirt is a thing? They even have certain spots where folks come to get the best tasting stuff. For reals.
