Did the hood swap today with my dad’s help. We haven’t worked on cars together in 30 years.

thecopcar is now sporting white and Lola is a more civilized all black.

Just the color. Lola is my daily, so I wanted to make her less noticeable. Thecopcar can be more outrageous.

For the overlanding interested, I found a set of ditch light brackets for the gmt900 1500 trucks. I ordered a set, because the opportunity is now.

Yes Lola has the generational dash cracks. In a big way.

Those on thecopcar aren’t as bad, but different. I took advantage of the the nasty one for wiring.

That just sucks. It would drive me crazy to look at that all the time. Maybe a dash mat, until you can get it replaced.

I haven’t decided which direction to go. An oem replacement is $$$$, and I understand a junkyard piece is likely to break up as it’s removed.

Thecopcar gets very dusty inside while out in the wilderness. So, time for a cabin air filter. Cutting the filter access plug proved to not be so quick. Getting the ductwork cover off was piece of cake easy.
