That's the one positive about the regulators in these trucks. I like that glass clamp setup compared to the old school channels with the plastic rollers. Much easier to pop the glass off and on.
Yea, accomplishes the same thing with less moving parts and easier to remove and replace. I could do these all day in about 30-35 minutes a piece if I did a couple more.

Salvage yard called me at 8:30 and the d/s mirror was there and I went and picked it up. Installed in about 45 minutes and the mirror does work as it should. I am going to talk/see him today and will offer him $5k for the truck, after he pays me my $480 he owes for my labor and running around for the mirror.

I advertised the truck for $9900 OBO. I got immediate calls. Guy meeting me in 20 minutes that says will pay $10k to make sure he gets it. If not, a guy is driving down from Portland in the morning and said would meet at 9 am and pay up to $10,500. Shall see.

I take it he didnt like the 5000 offer? Even 10k is cheap for a DM in good shape/decent miles.
Yea, he did not want the $5k and wanted to take a chance. I had 2 calls yesterday, as soon as I posted at CL and neither showed. A guy drove down from Portland at met at 9 a.m. and he paid $10k cash. The owner gave me $500 for listing and showing and selling. The second guy with the buyer was looking for a Lexus IS350 and he liked the black one I am also selling for an AL member friend of mine. He said would be back with cash tomorrow or next day. Shall see.

Well, surprise. The guy that was coming back tomorrow or the next day, came back today. Those two guys will have made two trips today from Portland to Eugene. $10k for the truck and $8k for the Lexus IS350. The owner of the truck paid me $480 yesterday for all my labor I had in the truck and $500 for selling the truck. The Lexus owner paid me the remaining $100 labor for recent work and then he gave me $1500 for selling the Lexus. In the last two days these two have given me $2580 in cash. Instead of 5 vehicles at my place I am now back to 3. I have a brake job, front and rear, coming in on Saturday or Sunday, depending on pads delivery from RA, on a 2005 Lexus RX 330. Slapping new rotors and new pads on and of course all the prep, clean and lube. I got $30 for the inspection the other day and my labor for the brake job will be $240, unless I run in to a problem that requires more time.

Then I have an overheating problem on a 2001 Ford Escape 3.0 coming in on Monday or Tuesday. The way he describes it, I am leaning toward head gasket leakage causing low coolant. Has recently tried to fix by replacing: radiator, water pump, thermostat, radiator cap and all hoses, all within the last 2 months at various shops.
