So now i gotta get dude up here to tune it to the cam specs and try and tune for economy which probably won't go good with the stage 3 cam but I guess we'll see

They said it'll start and idle for a minute or two but once the cam kicks in it dies is how dude explained it to me. They said they don't have a tuner program or software to put the cam specs in it.

Sounds like it just needs a tune. If they can keep it running by giving it gas, then tune is all ****** up.

Yeah it'll run so long as it's getting gas. I'm confident a tune will do it after talking to the guy instead of getting conflicting info from my dad.

Dad was like that motor is not gonna work. He said it's a race motor. I said it's a truck motor out of an 04 tahoe that's been beefed up. He said well if it's a truck motor it won't work. I said what do you think a Tahoe is a car?

I love my dad but when it comes to vehicles under the hood he's about useless. The last performance car he had was a 1965 Pontiac gto 4 barrel in 1965 lol.

Well the Tahoe has been tuned and it's running great. It feels strong. Right now it just has the stock headers and stock exhaust. The cam is choppy lol.
I had the dude tune it for economy since it's going to be an everyday driver.

But I can already tell it's about twice as quick and responsive than my old motor ever was.

I forgot to have the tuner turn off the rear 02 sensor so the check engine light is on for that. Dude said bring it back this week and he'd turn it off so it's no big deal.

Well spoke to soon I thought it was fixed but it died on me 3 times earlier.
