Here are 2 night shots. It is too bright to get a good shot with my phone.

It is aimed really bad right now. Beam hits the road about 30 feet in front of the car. I didn’t have anything with me last night to adjust it. I will try to get some better night shots tonight after it is adjusted. In person though it is super bright.

Here is the quick fix I came up with. I used a bracket I had and a 250lb pull magnet. I have 2 of these and 2 brackets already. Just put one screw in it for a test run. I am sure it will work since I can’t force it to move up or down anymore. If it does work fine I will add the one to the other side. I will paint all the hardware Black to blend in.

Yes that is black duct tape under the magnet. it is not there to prevent scratches to the paint as you Might think. It is there because all good jobs need some duct tape. :)

Driving back to work I was thinking. Something that might look better is if I took a sheet of thermoplastic and formed it over all of the mounting hardware. make it go from the roof rail over the bracket ect to blend the whole thing into the lines of the Yukon roof. I am not sure If I will go through this much work though. I don't have a lot of time to do this as it is. I have been working on it for an hour or so each night after I get off work at my 2nd job. So Midnight and later. Also a few times on my lunch break from my first job, when I really need to make some noise, or have some daylight.

I have a question about the plastic molding on the front of the roof rail. Does it come off like the rear one? The More I think about making a cover to go over the bracket, the more I like the idea. I am thinking about getting a sheet of Kydex and playing around with it. I thought if that front cover comes off like the rear I could make my cover take the place of that one. It would be easier to blend the curves and make it look better.

So if I made a molded cover to go over I was thinking of something like this if that front plastic comes off.

Or this if it doesn’t come off.

Awesome thanks M8! I didn’t want to try to take them off and break them, if they don’t come off.

Here are a few night shots after I aimed it better. Might need to tweak it some more.

Cant say how far away this is, but between 1/4 and 1/2 mile.

This one is hard to see, but the reflectors are a little more than 6/10 of a mile.

I ordered some Kydex and am going to try to mold it around the light bar bracket. I will take pics as I go. Over the weekend I ran the wires and hooked it up to my High beams. Don't know if I will keep it that way, but I have not used my high beams once on the road since getting this, and can't see me ever needing them on the public roads. If I find out I need or want them I do have a switch under the hood to disable the bar. I may wire a 3 way switch inside. One to turn the light on or off when I want it, and the other to have it Automatically come on with the high beams.

I will try to take a few pics of the wire running under the car and up onto the roof. I was pretty happy with how hidden it is.

Here is a better pic facing the car. I took it before it got too dark outside.
