Run, don't walk, away.

Two major red flags. We'll, actually 3....

1) Corporate lease vehicle - basically a rental car. No pride of ownership.
2) Heavy wear on driver's seat and armrest. Probably used as a livery car (taxi), lots of in/out.
3) The price. I'd pay $12k tops for that.

Here's the pic from the listing. The other pic is my 2008 Suburban that's 5 years older and has almost double the mileage, as of 5 minutes ago. Which looks better/less abused?

Ya I went and check it out today it was clean on the inside and there is surface rust on the frame and diffs but nothing substantial brakes and tires have plenty of tread/life left in them popped the hood and checked everything and all the fluids are pretty clean and the engine sounded good, until I rev’d it up to 2500ish there is a lifter rattle and the service autoride light is on and the rear compressor doesn’t come on and the bags are empty. So not something I want to deal with so the search continues

Thanks guys!!!!

Any car at these ages is going to require maintenance and repairs to bring them up to speed again. A really good dealership will do this before you buy it, others not so much.

I understand needing maintenance and pretty much anything I buy I’ll change all the fluids and filters but hard for me to justify spending 20k on a car that I’ll have to put money into right after buying just for the suspension issue and if it does have a lifter issue that’s something else I have to deal with although I could do it all in a day but Id have to get it for a lot less then they’re asking

He did say they have a 3 month warranty on all of their cars for the engine and transmission?

No Bueno. Run away! I agree that some maintenance is to be expected if you want longevity and piece of mind. Major repairs on a 20k asking price is RIDICULOUS.

If you really want it, bring up the issues and offer 10k and do the work yourself

Ya that was kind of my thought but don’t know if I want that headache I could do it all myself with not much difficulty but I’d like to do the afm delete stuff and tune and if my searching was correct it’ll be like 1500-2000$ and however long it takes and that’s not including whatever else it’ll need. Oh well I guess I’ll just keep searching

Thanks again!

What do you guys think of this one? It’s about 3 hours from me but has decently low mileage?

Looks like a salt state truck. Pulleys have a lot of rust on them like whoever drove it loved to draft off the person in front of them. You'd have to crawl around under it. The pics LOOK nice, interior looks nice, but they are all 10 ft away pics for the most part that hides stuff.

Not to be pessimistic, just not a 19k truck in my book. Virginia safety sticker tells me watch out for rust.
