I hate my visors, as I'm sure most do. So I'm redoing mine. I got this idea because I just got the torque pro app and I decided I needed an out of the way place to house my tablet so here goes...

First what I'm dealing with...

First steps to get it apart and get it all laid out and marked...

Next gotta cut it all up...

After I get my pieces cut and fit just right I get the spot for the tablet routed out...

Fits good...

Tomorrow I'll figure out my path for the charger to sit in, I'll use the original wires for the vanity lights to power a USB port, I'll rout it out and epoxy everything into place

Are you going to have some sort of clip or something to hold them up?

No they don't need it, they are held up by the metal bar that it's attached to, has a tension clip that holds it up, it's not heavy at all, I'll be drilling some holes to take out some of the weight before I cover it with material

That is a very cool build. I was just musing over how to redo my visors and there is no real aftermarket solution that I can find. It is funny to see sellers on ebay trying to sell old, gross, dirty visors for $80-120.

Thanks, but I never even covered it with material or run the charger part, kinda lost interest in it. I'm goin to revisit it and completely redo it. Yea I agree, I'd rather buy brand new plain Jane ones from LMC
