Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum but i've been watching it for a while. I am trying to decide on what I should do, I am looking at a used 2015 Tahoe LTZ 4WD dealer quoted me $53,750 before stepping on the lot. But I guess my question is could I get into a LT with the Luxuary package new for the same amount of money or even a Yukon SLT? Just wondering what kind of deals are out there right now as I am located in NC.

That seems a little high for used. I bought my 15 4X4 LT Suburban w leather, 8" touch screen, Bose upgrade audio, and 2nd row buckets, Max tow package w 3:55 gears, and 22" CK919 polished wheels for right at $55k brand new 6 miles out the door. And I was told my my father & brother in law (that both work at dealerships locally) that if I would have times it right (End of month etc) and been a bit 'tighter' on my negotiations I could have got another couple grand off because the "hold back" for dealers on these big SUV's is quite a bit more than most vehicles....but I was happy...

Seems high to me too. What do you need in the LTZ that the LT does not have? So searches and read the buy price threads on this form. Should be some good deals coming up for the holidays.

Only reason I was looking at the LTZ is that it was the only used one around my area, it had a few more options than LT lux, (Cooled seats, automatic running boards, push start, HID lights, 22 inch wheels) just little odds and ends.

It depends on the area you live in that determines the price. Look at KBB and NADA for used car pricing guide. Make sure you add in all the options. Above all if you like the color and the vehicle then buy it. Where is it located in NC and we can take a look at it with you and help you with pricing.

The answer is YES! You can find an LT with Luxury package for less than $53k new. Honestly, I would say it's worth having a 2016 over a 2015 anyway. If you don't need the cooled seats and magnetic ride, you won't miss anything else in the LTZ. The HID lights are hard to give up though..
