It has improved big time on the Hwy. And stayed the same in the city. The improvement on the Hwy I think cause I don't have my foot to the floor anymore. Doing 80 mph on a pa interstate I got 18mpg. I was surprised and very happy at the same time. The weather is turning now and mixed driving is down to 16 mpg. I am still happy with that. If I can get more power and the mpg stays the same or better the I am good

With the 4.8 the mileage isn't great. One of the guys on the forum told me about a tuner call wait4meperformance, or something like that. Said the tube was pretty good and it was cheap. Usually you get what you pay for, but he was very happy with them. Ever hear if them?

Yeah I have heard of them through here. No one has had anything bad to say. But I have one problem with mail in tunes. This is what I had a problem with. They can stet the computer to your specks and mods if any. But how do they know how your sensors are reacting to the specs they put in. Some vehicles vary due to mileage and climate. That's why I like black bear. They get you to do the file sharing so they see what your vehicle is doing before the time then design one off of that.

The guy that did mine had a hard time with the fuel and thought my pump was weak. After digging a bit he seen a sensor wasn't reacting how he thought it should. Re adjusted and we were good. With out him looking at the live data it may never have been found and the performance and miliage could have suffered.

Do a little more research and find out how they determine how to set your tune. I didn't look into them so I am not sure. But I am interested to know

I totally agree with you, but it's so damn expensive, for me anyway. I'd love to do Black Bear but it's over $500 US, which I can't afford. I plan on giving the other guys a call later on and see what they say.

I went with champion motors in Toronto. They do a lot of Gm stuff but mainly corvettes and road racing cars. I did a lot of research on these guys and called them. The best part was they understood my project and needs and answered ever question no matter how crazy it was and helped me when I was wrong. Great guys. And it wasn't a inconvenience for me to call and talk to them like most of the places I tried to call.

Wish I could find some guys like that around here. If you don't mind me asking, what did they charge for the service?
