Tilt steering handle removal

Help ! How do you remove the tilt steering handle on a 2003 Tahoe ? I am trying to remove the lower steering cover and that handle is in the way. I can't see anywhere a screw or a tab, and I don't want to pull too ******* it as to not break it.

I've never tried to remove it but I would imagine it has threads on the end of it and it just turns/screws into the steering column. Try spinning it counter clockwise.

I actually managed to get it off, it has two tabs at the back, you just need to pull on it and it will come off
