I have a 04 Yukon Denali XL with a 6.0, 220,000 miles. I am preparing to do a water pump, belts, fan clutch, tensioners. Should I also change the timing chain? I also have a slight front cover oil leak. Any write ups on changing timing chain?

wouldnt hurt, if you are going as far as replacing the front cover, might as well throw on a oil pump and timing chain since oilpump has to come off to do timing chain.

for removal, line the crank and cam dots up then unbolt the cam gear and remove the chain and gear, reinstall is reverse of removal and make sure you line those dots up.

Yeah if you have the balancer off the job is cake. Id throw a Melling 10295 pump on it while I was in there and a GM LS2 chain and sprockets.
