I think this pic shows how well the 20%-front and 30%-rear blends well and almost looks like the same tint shade. It looks a little darker in this picture than it really is..maybe it's not such a good pic lol

I want mine that dark! Mainly because it's so damn hot out, also so the kids will fall asleep faster on long drives- if they sleep I can turn off Toy Story and actually turn XM on :)

I personally would go with a more expensive IR rejecting tint to keep the truck cool, instead of a darker film. 20%-FRONT and 30%-REAR is plenty dark.

You have two things to consider:
1) safety
--backing up
-blind spot (even during the day if it's dark enough - I had a tough time seeing out over my shoulder out of JKMotorsports truck when I was driving it
-you have kiddos :)

2) Tickets
-if it's dark enough, that "could" attract unwanted attention to your truck, then they find the windshield tinted and it can quickly be a small mess...then you gotta buy/install the windshield tint back on of course :)

I've been pulled over and tested twice because of my tint, once in Elgin outside of Austin and once by a dps officer in (Burton.) The DPS officer even wanted to search my truck since he thought I was running drugs or something.

That was in a single cab truck with completely legal tint on the sides and limo in the rear. You may be pulled over for it, but usually the worst thing that happens is they make you scratch it off with a razor right there.

I know the feeling.

I got mine tinted at Sunbusters - they always do my cars. %5 on top of factory and %30 or so on top of factory up front. It's pretty dark...wish the fronts were a bit darker, but don't want to fuss with the law.

Not sure if you saw mine, but I parked right next to you a little while ago at the HEB off of 1431. Your tahoe looks nice with the new wheels.

Yep sure did, I tried to remote start YOUR Tahoe when I came out, because mine was on the other side of it! lol. Yours looks great- we have pretty much the same tint then.

BOSS- everything you said, as usual, is right on point. It really is dark enough, and tonight when I was leaving the gym it was raining & it was so dark inside my truck...I just need to get something on the windshield to block the heat. You would recommend looking at the IR rejecting as the number one factor to consider for keeping it cool? Not to sound retarded but does it come in clear?
