I don't think it is an error. It is the way vehicle registrations are classified. I have a "little" knowledge in this field.

It saying wagon on the registration is not an issue. As long as the tag, vin etc. match up.

My insurance shows my '07 LTZ as an '07 Chevy KTA, vehicle type: sport wgn? No problems, it all works...

I think they'll take you to jail and let you spend some quality time alone with "Bubba" while they check out your vehicle trying to figure things out.
