I’m really surprised you haven’t had that pipe modified or replaced yet to get the front shaft in.

So now you need to get that mount swapped out and put the new shocks on. You gonna do both mounts?

Just gonna do the one mount for now--whenever I can get it done, along with the shocks. It's been too cold, and I don't have a garage. I'd LOVE to have my 4wd again, but I don't want to bang up the header.

You honestly might get the clearance you need with that new motor mount, in the past I’ve seen those same headers installed on various GM trucks and they ended up having to replace both motor mounts and the headers fit perfectly, not sure how close it is on that side but that might do it.

just how close is the pipe to the shaft? theres no law against using a 2 inch pipe and a baby sledge to dent a pipe a bit.

Right up against it. I don't really want to beat on the inner tubes. I think there's a pic on my build thread with the prop shaft right against the header.

to many pages to go looking myself lol

theres a vid out there, they took a engine on a dyno. ran it, then a random dent here and there along the header pipes, damn thing picked up a hp or 2. they they went nuts and beat the crap out of every pipe with sledge hammers only lost 5 hp.

Roadkill, or the guys from it. Saw that was pretty crazy. Went against everything we were ever taught about doing that.

I remember that video. Crazy.
Sledgehammer party this weekend at Tonyrodz!! I hear dented body panels have positive effects in the wind tunnel as well. This is gonna be a great party!
