Does your switch have the feature for the power folding mirrors? The puddle lights come on when you unlock it at night maybe when you lock it too I forget, put some LED’s in there and they will look great, and the green plug is for the heated seat/adjustable pedal switch I’m pretty sure iirc it was a green plug

When you unlock them and when you turn the truck off and pull the key out of the ignition... I think when you lock them, they dim to "off" with the interior lights IIRC.

Why do you think I just made my own. Couldn’t find any. Can’t buy them. So eagle eyes to the rescue once again. I’ve came across some more, I’d have to look to see if I still have some. There’s no way I’m going back to the stock light and housing now lol

And yea like Justin said as far as the puddle lights they do not come on with the dome light or any “physical” switch. Only with unlock on remote key fob or after you turn ignition off and open the door. And only at night. Should be options in you dic too. Maybe you need to turn them on through the dash, can’t remember do you have steering controls?

The folding (RPO DL3) and telescoping (RPO DPF) mirror system requires signals from two separate switches. The mirror select switch must be in the neutral position and the mirror direction switch must be activated to either the left or right position. Pressing the left side of the mirror direction switch will unfold the mirrors (RPO DL3) or extend the mirrors (RPO DPF). Pressing the right side of the mirror direction switch will fold the mirrors (RPO DL3) or retract the mirrors (RPO DPF). Both switches are integrated into the DDM and provide direct signals.

Upon receipt of the required switch inputs, the driver door module (DDM) will supply battery voltage and ground to the driver mirror fold/telescope motor control circuits to perform the requested folding/telescope function. The DDM will also send a serial data message to the front passenger door module (FPDM) indicating the requested function. The FPDM will supply battery voltage and ground to the passenger mirror fold/telescope motor control circuits to perform the requested folding/telescope function.

Circuit/System Testing
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the applicable door module.
  2. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp does not illuminate between each of the following circuits and ground:
    • DDM – Control circuit terminal 6 and 1
    • FPDM – Control circuit terminal 4 and 3
    • If the test lamp illuminates, test both control circuits for a short to voltage. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the appropriate folding mirror motor (RPO DL3) or telescoping mirror motor (RPO DPF).
  3. Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between the following circuits and ground:
    • DDM – Control circuit terminal 6 and 1
    • FPDM – Control circuit terminal 4 and 3
    • If less than the specified range, test both control circuits for a short to ground. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the appropriate folding mirror motor (RPO DL3) or telescoping mirror motor (RPO DPF).
  4. Test for less than 3.0 ohms of resistance between the following circuits:
    • DDM – Control circuit terminals 6 and 1
    • FPDM – Control circuit terminals 4 and 3
    • If greater than the specified range, test both control circuits for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the appropriate folding mirror motor (RPO DL3) or telescoping mirror motor (RPO DPF).
  5. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the appropriate door module.

Outside Power Foldaway Mirrors
If your vehicle is equipped with outside power foldaway mirrors the mirrors can be folded in toward the body of the vehicle.

To fold in the mirrors, move the upper selector switch, located above the mirror control, to the middle position. Press the right side of the mirror control to fold the mirrors toward the body of the vehicle. The mirror glass on one or both sides of the vehicle may automatically adjust before the mirror folds inward. When the mirror glass or mirror starts moving, you can release the mirror control.

To return the mirrors and the mirror glass to their normal position press the left side of the mirror control.

If the mirrors are manually folded, unfold and fold them atleast twice using the mirror controls. Do not unfold them manually. They may not stay in place otherwise.

2003–2006 HUMMER H2
This bulletin is being revised to add the 2007 Classic Pickup models. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 03-08-64-010B (Section 08 – Body and Accessories).

Condition
Some customers may comment that the power fold feature of the mirrors either does not operate properly or that the mirrors may blow back toward the closed position at highway speeds.

Cause
Manually folding the mirror may cause the mirror and the motor to become out of sync.

The power mirror drive has detents in the drive hub that lock the mirror to the drive system. This system is designed to let the drive hub disconnect without damage through manual input to the mirror. This mechanism allows the mirrors to be folded by power but still have the break-a-way feature if contacted accidentally.

Correction
There are no replacement parts necessary to correct this condition. The mirrors will self-synchronize by following the procedure below. Once synchronized, the mirrors will function properly unless folded manually.

Important: Prior to replacing a mirror, attempt to electrically fold and unfold the mirrors a minimum of 3 cycles.

  1. Set the power mirror selector switch to the center position. You will see the mirror directional control switch illuminate the power folding symbol.
  2. Press the right or left side of the directional control to fold or unfold the mirrors.
  3. Cycle the mirrors open and closed 3 times. The mirrors should now operate normally.
Please advise the customer of the above procedure for future reference or provide them with a copy of this bulletin.

#PIT3002D: Switching Mirrors From Power Folding To Extending - keywords door left right - (Oct 25, 2006)
Subject: Service VME - Switching Mirrors From Power Folding To Extending

Models: 2003-2006 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT
2003-2006 Chevrolet Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe
2003-2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic
2003-2007 GMC Sierra Classic
2003-2006 GMC Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali XL
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

SERVICE VME
Some customers/dealers have inquired about the new power folding, electro chromic, outside rear view mirrors (RPO DL3), and if they can switch to the new extending outside camper style mirrors (RPO DPF or DPN)? The answer is yes, however, the dealer must also reprogram both the driver's door module and the passenger door module to accommodate this change. Also, if the vehicle has redundant steering wheel controls, the DIC (Driver Information Center-Curb view assist message) must be deleted by reprogramming the Truck Body Control Module (TCBM).

Important: When installing the Power Camper Mirrors (RPO DPF or DPN) the memory mirror feature will be lost. Only the Power Folding Mirrors (RPO DL3) have memory features.

Note: Starting in 2006 the Power Camper Mirror (RPO DPF) is no longer available and was replaced by the Vertical Camper Mirror (RPO DPN). The DPN mirror has power adjustable glass, heated, manual folding and extending, includes turn signal indicator and lower convex spotter glass (convex glass is not heated.) These mirrors can be installed on previous models.

The DPN, DPF, and DL3 mirrors all can be interchanged as long as the DDM, PDM and if necessary the BCM are programmed with the correct mirror option being installed. On some 2006 and 2007 models with the factory installed DPN mirrors, if the DL3 mirrors are installed the DDM may need to be replaced due to the lack of hardware within the DDM.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

#PIT3584B: Outside Rearview Mirrors Do Not Return To The Correct memory Position - keywords adjust door driver fob key left RKE - (Jun 15, 2006)
Subject: Outside Rearview Mirrors Do Not Return to the Correct Memory Position

999999995.gif

Models: 2003-2006 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT
2003-2006 Chevrolet Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe
2003-2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic
2003-2007 GMC Sierra Classic
2003-2006 Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali XL
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment that their outside rear view mirrors do not return to the correct memory position. The concern normally occurs after the power folding mirrors have been folded in (such as parking in a garage) and the owner has the driver 1 or 2 set to recall memory with key fob or at key in.

When the mirrors are power folded in the mirror glass will center before the mirrors are folded in to prevent damage to the mirror glass. On the next key cycle or fob operation the mirrors will try to go back to the memory position while they are still folded in. In most cases the passenger mirror will go back to the correct position; however the drivers mirror glass may contacts the body of the mirror mounting base and prohibit the glass from moving any further.

Note:: Only vehicles equipped with RPO DL3 power folding mirrors have memory feature, all other mirror options (DL8, DPF, DPN, etc) do not have the memory feature.

Recommendation/Instructions:
There are two ways correct this:

  1. Have the customer turn off the memory seat recall feature ("Recall by key fob" or at "key in") and then the mirrors will return to the correct position when power folded out.
  2. If the customer wants to use the memory seat recall feature then they will have to select the appropriate Driver #1 or #2 button on the driver's door once the mirrors are power folded out. The mirrors will then return to the correct memory position.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
