So, I was on the highway yesterday and the frontend just didn't feel steady. Got the alignment done maybe a month or so ago, but I had different tires and I thought it was just the tires. Took it back to Mavis who did the alignment. Now they're telling me I need the idler and pitman arm done, along with ANOTHER wheel alignment. That'll make 3 alignments in less then 2 months. My whole point is I know they must've been bad already as I haven't really driven it, so why wouldn't they check the complete frontend before doing an alignment that wasn't gonna be right anyway? More then happy to have me waste my money. So new idler, pitman, alignment with labor will be $700 out the door using Moog parts. This is with an additional $130 taken off. Shit never ends....

and this expensive crap is why i am very glad i do my own work, from a monetary outlook its the only way to go. price of parts and then the 60-80 for an alignment is all i pay. i know i got out cheap when i did the brakes on my suburban 4 rotors, 4 calipers, all pads, and all fluid was about 500 and that was at mechanic cost not full retail. not sure i want to know what the labor would have put that job.
