Well...I picked it up. The new front brakes that he was to install weren't on, they were completely MISSING!! I asked him where they were, he said he doesn't know. I told him I wanted them installed when I gave him the truck, along with the upper control arms, rear ss brake lines and all the other parts I gave him. So he started showing me all the bills--gaskets, head bolts, blah blah. I told him I wasn't eating those brakes. He had the balls to say how does he know that they were even in there!! That made me BEYOND PISSED! So now he's calling me a liar. I've know this kid for 8 years, and now he's calling me a liar. That one actually hurt! Going back and forth---anyway, he said just give him the $1800 and we're even. He's losing money, whatever, whatever. He doesn't want to know about the Tahoe anymore either. Ok.
There was alot more said, but you guys get the drift. Funny, the belt got thrown on the way home--so if it wasn't for my gf following me in my van I would've been stuck. Alt looks misaligned. Driving without getting on it, it's fine, but once you nail it, it throws the belt. Puked out antifreeze, and he put that greenish universal shit in it too. So, now I need to bleed the brakes because they're spongy AF, find out why my turn signals aren't working--either side--gotta get a wheel alignment because of the new upper control arms, figure out how to fix the misalignment with the alt, and some other odds and ends.
I'll get a vid and pics for you guys tomorrow.
Lesson learned...

X1,000,000!! Guy did me dirty. Worst part was he basically called me a liar.
Not sure if I’d want to pay him after all that...parts missing, other stuff not in place. Take all that into account and subtract it from his total

You have no idea Wade!!
Closest I’ve come to this was getting seamless gutters out into my house. Guy came highly recommended by the guy doing my roof. I call the guy and set the time. Said he needs payment in full when job is done. Leave a check with our nanny as he came while I was at work. Get home and run a hose onto the gutters to check them out and the guy had the gutters running away from the down spouts on the front, did some funky crap where my porch roof extends out further than the rest of the front overhang and the back run leaked water. Called the guy back and asked him what the deal was. He said I didn’t know what I was talking about and that I had unrealistic expectations if I thought all the water would drain from the gutters. I told him to get his ass back and fix it or I was going to put a stop to the check. Told him to make sure being someone who knows how to use a level.

He shows up the next day while I was there with another guy. After 30 minutes I decided he was so drunk that it wasn’t safe for him to be on my property. No wonder he thought water could run uphill. Told him to get the hell off my property and that I would fix it. Ended up eating $800, but learned my lesson. My wife, who was home as well, said that was the closest she had ever seen me to decking a guy.

Told the guy who did my roof to come and look at what the guy he recommended did to our house. Came, looked and called the guy to tell him he was done recommending him for anything. The roofing guy actually stayed and helped me make it right.

Can you guys see the misalignment?20201116_202455.jpg
From the pwr steering to the alternator.
I wonder if it's because of the ear the bolt goes through.20201116_202822.jpg
Maybe grind it down flush with the alt case--to bring the whole thing closer to the front of the alt bracket, so it lines up with the pwr steering pulley. Maybe some thick washers behind the back end of the bolt that holds it to the bracket--to help move the alt forward.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

At least the roofing guy helped you. I bet he felt guilty. Some people are just clueless--and arrogant. Here in Jersey, we'd call him a *******. Or a f'kn *******.

You should take this clown to small claims court. And make sure you let everyone you can know he shouldn’t touch another vehicle. There’s no excuse for this shit.
Putting the green coolant in..? That’s a very obvious sign he couldn’t give a shit less if anything is done right.
I think you’ll be lucky if that motor lasts for any time at all. I’m sorry about all this Tony. I don’t think you should pay that douchebag a dime.
