Finally found a 2500 hd good for 175. Is that too much? Local body shop wants 700 just to roll it without paint. Is that too much as well?

I gave 400 for mine plus a friend painted it for 200.00 and I supplied paint, if you can get one for 175.00 jump on it!

Nice deal but some I have a Yukon, the hd hood has to modified... :/ I can paint it myself, just can't roll it myself. Stylintrucks.com has the hood primered for 198 with free shipping

Price on the hood is good but 7 bills just for modifying it is a little steep IMO. I know there is alot of work to make it look good on our Yukons but I dunno...I'd say shop around a bit. If you are committed to doing it I'd still grab that hood.

As others said, hood price is good, rolling it is a little expensive. That's 7 hours of work if they're charging $100/hour for labor.

All above comments valid. That is a great price on the HD hood. Grab it now if you really want it. Then take your time and find the right shop for the right price with the Yukon mod. Harder to find that HD hood than it is to find the shop once you have the hood to do the mod. You will kick yourself for missing the HD hood more if you wait and it goes to someone else. Bottom line...better to have the goods in hand first, then source out the vendor. My $0.02.

Here is a TYF write up thread if you are interested.

Is a 100/dollars an hour typical for labor nowadays? You guys may just have convinced me to buy it and put it in the garage for the meantime. Is there two different stlye hd hoods, a raised and a lowered? Some pictures look a lil diff from others
