Hi all, I have a 2015 Tahoe. I am new here and after reading every post about HID and LED headlights, I decided to do the LED headlight upgrade based on recommendation from my friend who owns a racing shop. After installing them, I am pleased to report that I am very happy with them. They are white and are not a disappointment. I have pictures and will post them as soon as I can. One word.......WOW!

I recently did research on this but every where says HIDs out shine LED. From what I've noticed its due to design HIDs emit light in a full 360 for best reflection onto the road. Where LEDs only emit from 2 sides. So although they maybe pure white they will not shine as far HIDs. And Lumens wise I think HIDs are quite brighter also. The only advantage I have seen for LEDs is bulb life.
Not trying to dowm your set up would like to see the final look.

Not the greatest pics, but they are pics. I know HID throws more and maybe brighter but Police here are cracking down on HID that didn't come stock with the car. Anyway....I like them way better than the stock halogens....

Gotcha not sure what your laws are but cops in Florida don't really care as long as there not deep blue. Has to be close to white. Mine are 8k so there pretty much white with a very very light tint of blue almost not noticeable. And mine aren't pointing up to blind people unless I'm on there ass and there in a small car lol. Looks good though. I hope they perfect the LEDs better maybe with 4 diodes so they can reflect better and further.

MONDO....I live in Hawaii and everybody has HID'S now but I guess because of whiners, the police are cracking down. Had a few friends have to get their car towed home because of the HID's. I'm just happy to get away from that hideous yellow color.

Looks good! Did you have to install a new ballast?

Any input on brand/kit used and the install process would be great!

I have HIDs for my lows but I've been considering LEDs for my highs...
