This happened with my wife’s ‘15 Yukon. I don’t want them (Discount Tire) to remove all the tires off the wheels to fix it, so we’re stuck with the same TPMS code. Drives me crazy. I really don’t believe there is a way you can disable it unless you get into the dash and take the bulb out for that specific light.

You don't need to completely dismount the tires to replace the TPMS sensors, you just have to break the bead on the front side of the wheel.

That’s good to know. I thought they had to take the entire tire off. Perhaps I’ll have them fix it after all. Thanks!

probably be cheaper to just replace the tpms module, used ones are on ebay all the time
I have one in my eBay watch list. About $30. But I read somewhere on here or maybe another forum that it requires a dealership trip to be programmed to my car. So that’s why I been procrastinating. I don’t have any good relationships with any dealers and I just frankly don’t have time to drop my truck off for something that minor....

I just took the van for tires and alignment a few weeks ago and the mechanic wanted 300 something just to diagnose the issue and said it could potentially cost upwards of 500 for the module and labor. Blah blah blah. I told him I’ll live with it. But I secretly want that damn light off

If that's the case just put a piece of black tape over the light and DRIVE ON!

P.S. I can't take credit for that fix. I got it from a book of redneck fixes. I made a little adjustment to it though. I substituted "black" tape for "duct" tape. But I think it still works...

Just use "black" "duck" tape and you're good to go.

It's not the light. It's the one that says "service tires" or whatever on the odometer display

Lol I’ve absolutely done this before on my wife’s old car for the airbag light. We went as far as taking the cluster apart and putting the black tape on the inside of the lense so it wasn’t as noticeable... I’m glad she doesn’t have that car anymore lol. As far as the van. Someone else mentioned. That it still comes up on the DIC. Annoying
