shocks are not load bearing, the springs are. Shocks just slow down the reaction of the leafs. The driver typically is the lower side on 4 drs due to the gas tank. This could be something as dumb as differently tightend U bolts.

Gonna check u bolt tightness later. Hopefully it's not something serious.

Measured again. 36.8 on rear driver side. Passenger 36. It is stock as far as I can tell. Can I loosen nuts on ubolt? Too see if it relieves the 3/4 inch difference? Or?

It wont. And once you do that you should reuse them.

replace your springs and be done with it.

I think sunlit meant should not reuse the u-bolts. we always use new U-bolts they are cheap.

I'm confused man. Do or don't loosen em? If there is one tighter than the other why wouldn't that be the issue? And reuse them, or replace them? I'm hoping for an easy free fix.

Okay Ty for clarifying. But will just loosening them not work? I mean like torsion keys for example. I can just loosen or tighten them anytime I want. U bolts aren't the same?

no the u-bolt is not adjustable, you don't want anything moving back there. If nothing is broken or loose just drive it until you can afford new spring packs.

That's what I was afraid of. I will have to look tomorrow. I keep putting this off I know but I'm a single daddy and little man is fighting bedtime hard right now. But all is well. I have noticed on a notoriously steep hill in town, when I turn right, I can hear a sound like a moan. Lot of stress on a shock or something up front.
