Has anybody used the Rough Country torsion keys or shocks? I just ordered a set for my 04 Yukon. Hope I don't regret it.

No but Ive heard good things, I went with the Readylift kit and its great, fit 33" tires and rides like stock.

Torsion keys are pretty much torsion keys, brand doesn't really matter much there. A lot of guys are just running various Ebay versions. For shocks though, the majority vote will be bilstein 5100s. I am also running the 5100s on my Escalade and absolutely love them, the ride is amazing. Depending on your goals and what suspension you have in the rear you might want to think about throwing some Z71 coils in the back.

I installed the shocks from Rough Country, ran a little over a week and the left front shock blew out. Got a replacement sent to me overnight by Rough Country. I haven't installed the keys yet. The problem I'm having is that my Yukon sits right around 1/2" lower on the left side front and rear, before and after I replaced the shocks. Is this typical? What do I need to be looking at? I was hoping to have equal measurements before I keyed it. Yes Z-71 springs are on my list of things to replace.

You can adjust ride height by cranking the tbars, whoever installs your keys should do that for you.

Even the left rear sits lower than the right rear. Surely the rear has nothing to do with the front

Typical lean that these trucks have. My old nbs was the same way. It took me forever to finally dial in my drop keys so it sat somewhat even. Also the gas tank is on that side which helps it lean some

The gas tank causing 1/2" difference can make sense. I'm going ahead with the Z71 rear springs

I installed the Rough Country 270N2 kit today on my '04 Z71 Tahoe.
I broke the Rough Country torsion key unloading tool on the first key.
Luckily, I had a ball joint press that did the job.

I loaded the new keys same as the originals and got about 4" lift (from 35" at the bottom of the flare to 39"). So, I had to crank them down a bit to 37-3/4". I did use the 3/4" spacers in the rear that came with the kit. I did not use the N2.0 shocks. I got a set of Bilstein 5100 instead. My plan is the get 285s mounted, balanced and then an alignment on Sunday.
