That’s what the receiver is rated at, not the vehicle.

Lol I do not. I know what my ssv is rated for and that’s good enough for me. It’ll probably never tow anyways. Those days are over once I got rid of my 2500hd. Everything I own that I’d be towing is too heavy for it.Wanna do it? I've identified 406 variations thus far and suspect there are more!

That wasn’t me. Mine has 3.42 gears, tow package with factory trailer brake controller and rated at 8200lbs. I can check the receiver when my wife gets home and update this post.Ahh, that's another one I do not have listed, the PPVs and SSVs. Was yours the one with the motor pool hitch that towed a motorcycle recently? If not, and it came with a hitch, do you know what the hitch ratings and truck's ratings are? I'll add them to the list.
Not a bad person, but possibly an uninsured person if you get in a wreck while towing overweight.

4x4Care to elaborate? What are your thoughts about the last two years being the same as the first three years (1500s)?
I noticed that too. I reckon then that the Hybrids would be the same as the other 1500s in their model year.
.
4x4
I have the same sticker as well but the max claimed is 6200 pounds and 6000 pounds for 4x4 hybrid versions...
the reason being the battery weights 200 pounds that is how you go from 6400 on the normal to 6200 pounds
I expect the normal 4x4 able to tow less as well because the 4x4 adds some weight
I think it's likely the transmission cooler, transmission, rear differential being used.. effects the tow rating. this could explain the 406 variations
