Not only can the guy turn wrenches, he knows how to get his wife to go all in on his build. She gave the green light to buy not one, but two trucks.

Damn I want an Escalade like that! My buddies 3500 6.6 Duramax with it's a/c seats is what got me to move and trade up one year to a '09. My wife didn't care about moving up one year from our 08 YXL Denali to get the e85 capability, get rid of the scary piston slap, the known weak spot in the trans or better lighting in the Esky.

She was onboard once she sat in an a/c seat in the 3500. Happy wife, happy LIFE.

Wow...he was towing a 12,000# camper with stock 6.0 Escalades for years before he made the switch. 2,000# tongue weight plus 5 kids in the thing.

Towing heavy is serious. Don’t skimp just because it can, mostly. There is a nice warm cozy feeling you get when you have way more truck than trailer. For my 7500 lb TT I tow it with a 2000 F350 DRW 7.3, my Tahoe felt unsafe.

I wouldn't want a lifted SUV for towing but I would take the 2500 Suburban with a supercharger, cooling mods, sway bars, helper bags, and good brakes + trailer brakes to tow 10k all day everyday.

I have towed 9-10k with my short wheelbase heavily modded Tahoe and the only thing I wish I had was trailer brakes and another 2' of wheelbase.

I gotcha, it just looks like the boat is 10x bigger than the truck the way the photo was taken.
