Where?
I think it is called VINVIEW but I believe only the dealers can access it.

Where?
Dealer repeatedly states that they have allocation, but due to Z71 and max trailering constraints, they are waiting for GM to pick up the order.
There’s your answer. You have ordered something that is in constraint.
Therefore it’ll never be accepted by GM.
Caveat is it can be accepted if the dealership receives an allocation for that constraint
The same questions keep being brought up repeatedly - nothing wrong with that, but perhaps someone could create a post explaining codes, vinview, allocations, etc. (basically an FAQ) and the mods could sticky it?
Part of the problem, however, is that I don't know if any of us know with 100% certainty how this process works.
I also had a Denali "package" ordered, but it was ordered 10/06/2021 - couldn't get GM to accept the order b/c there were too many elements in the package that they were NOT doing (adaptive air ride suspension, max trailering package, advanced technology package), so I had to remove those items in order to FINALLY get GM to accept my order. They FINALLY did on 03/06/2022. Vehicle was built and is in-transit (Code 4300). Have you had this convo with your salesman?9/2021 - still not accepted.
Denali XL Premium. Duramax and everything but the RSE.
Changed order to the Denali XL Reserve back in Jan.
This is my understanding as well. Dealer had confirmed this as well, that nothing is on stop order (unavailable), just constrained to limited production. This appears to be what is driving my order to sit for so long. He offered to remove max trailering to possibly get it accepted, but I believe that would require removing the whole off-road package which is not something I want to remove.Basics of it would be:
- Dealer has to have an allocation for your vehicle (ie tahoe)
- If the dealer gets an allocation for a Tahoe...then you have to hope you are next in line so the dealer can use the allocation on your order (I know this sounds basic - but if you're 47th in line for a Tahoe, the two allocations the dealer received only means you are now 45th)
- They can submit the order as long as nothing associated with the order is constrained -could be anything from trim (Z71, RST, High Country, etc) to engine, specific packages, specific standalone options to interior/exterior color
- If something on your order is constrained, the order can still be submitted for acceptance if the dealer also receives an allocation for said constraint
- If the dealer receives an allocation for a Tahoe but RST trim is on constraint and they didn't receive an allocation for RST, then the order can't be submitted/accepted
- Of course if the dealer is proactive, they hopefully contact "you" as the next in line and ask if you want to modify the order for it to be accepted...say change it to a Z71
