So I haven't been on in awhile cause tragedy struck!! I got rear ended!!!

But this is what happened to the BMW who hit me. austinsphone062-1.jpg
Tahoe 1 - BMW 0 LOL

Luckily I hadn't added a roll pan yet, and don't know if I will after this. Really sucks, cause I wanted that look. But..... don't wanna sacrafice strength for looks on this one. Damn girl was textn and hit me at 45mph and never hit the brakes. 6K in damage done, but all fixed now.

When I first got the rims:

Rims now after adding white:

I just got the white added to rims yesterday, and also had my billet grill painted white too. Just gotta get rid of the chrome bumpers and it may be about done. Ya right. Let me know how ya like it.

soooooo, the question on everyones mind.....
you have blacked out tail lights..

was that ever a problem in the whole situation.. it was obviously the BMW's fault but did insurance **** with you over them being dark?

the new rims look sick!! I'm going to have to nominate you for next months TOTM :)

thanks thehoe92, RESPECT, nice to be appreciated by my fellow modders, be nice to get that honor.

Surprisingly no one even asked besides the person behind the BMW ,but when he got behind my ride and could obviously see my brake lights, and emergency lights flashing, and he's the one who told me she was looking down seeming to text, which she dumbly admitted to. The cops didn't even ask, or wonder, nor did the Insurance adjuster when he appraised my ride. My taillights are dark, but by no means dark enough not to see the light, even in direct sun light, it has always some what(in the back of my mind) worried me that if I got hit someone would pull that card. But I have made sure 100% that they are VERY visible even during the day.

Unlike the headlights which are TOO dark. I love the look, but even with HID's it dims the lights way down. But.... not sure if I wanna remove yet, took alot of work to install that tinting myself.

That's what insurance is for, new rims look nice. Get the roll pan, insurance is insurance and roll pan or not it has to be fixed.......

I've got a hidden hitch behind the plate of my roll pan, that'll stop them easy...

The white on the rims really makes them pop. How about ditching the chrome on the bumper for black? I think it would look better than going with white. Just an idea. And if you do that...redo the with billet inserts to match the black. Would look hot.
