Any of you guys have an electric fan on your tranny cooler? If so what did you go with and did you notice a difference? I'm pondering on getting one for mine as well as installing electric fans after I get my Black Bear tune but wanted some input from others!

I've never heard of it being done, but I can't imagine it being needed. Even pulling heavy loads my tranny stays pretty cool.

I can see adding it if you tow heavy loads, and it is switchable. But, if you are looking for performance, I do not see the need.

I installed dual electric fans on my 6.0 Yukon, no real changes in temp or power. My tranny cooler is stacked with my radiator and AC cooler.

The only noticeable difference is when it is hot and the AC is on... I do not hear or feel the pull of the fan clutch.

On my Land Rover Defender, I installed electric fans and it made a noticeable difference, but that is on a lower HP V8.

There are some coolers that already have the fan, Permacool has some. No experience with them and haven't heard of anyone running one yet - I personally plan on doing one soon as I know my tranny runs hotter after the build out I did on it.

I'm thinking about it for when I tow my toy hauler, it use to warm up alot when pulling certain hills with the trailer loaded as well as the coolant temp but since I got a new waterpump, flushed the radiator out real good, and I even think the CAI and corsa exhaust help a bit, it barely warmed up on those same hills I just recently pulled with my trailer last week!! I'm going to do the electric fan conversion when I get my Black Bear tune done but was still thinking about putting a fan on the cooler just for that added help in keep my transmission cooler!! Anybody else?

Yeah, I have seen those, that's what gave me the idea!! Just hoping someone on here knows if they truly help out much!

Nice, do you know the measurements of the cooler, mine is a 11X11 and it fits perfectly!! Lots of room!
