I'm a diesel tech and I believe my 6l80 is shuddering from 25-45 mph. Going to see if I can watch live data for converter with my diesel laptop this week. I'm concerned about replacing filter and fluid with my truck at 169k. I've also seen you mention it as a band aid. Besides the shudder the tranmission drives very nice. Only when it drops down to about 1100 rpms cruising it seems to start and feel like your driving over road bumps. Opinions? Would changing filter fluid trash it? TIA
This is a true story. Had a problem with my 2019 Yukon xl Denali. At various speeds would get shaking. Even had a trouper pull me over cause he thought I was going to lose a tire. Changed the Michelins 4 times under warranty. 3 wheel alignments, road force balancing all the time, right upper and lower ball joints, left tie rod and both staffs. This was all under 8k in mileage. Finally went to a 3rd dealer where they were on the 3rd hour as the zone told them to tear it apart 1 bolt at a time.
So drumb roll ..... the problem????
A washer between the right front mag and rotor was found...
Appairently when the front end is built nuts and washers are used to keep it all together. and this was left there by error. You could see the markings where it was moved around.
A $0.50 washer caused about 7-8000$ in repairs. I still have the washer
