Yeah, that's no fun. Too bad there's no place on the rear hatch for one like the 900s. Then just run across the headliner.

Well, you could run across the headliner and then make a hole at the bottom of the driver's side D-pillar (or use existing?) to run wires. No?

I know that .... I meant what physical design of the interface between the radiator and the transmission cooler and cooler lines risk cross contamination of the fluids?
the radiator cooler is physically part of the radiator(on some anyways)

Update:
The Hayden 397 adapter worked perfectly for hooking a clear tube up to the transmission cooler return. The horseshoe clip was a bit of a pain to get back on, FYI. I plan to get the Lisle 22930 3/8" Low Profile Disconnect for the future, as well as a spare clip (I spent about 45 min searching for it after dropping it trying to put it back on).
My coolant did not appear to have water in it that I could tell, so that's good news.
FYI the clip goes on before reattaching the line. Install the clip on the fitting, then just push the line into the fitting until it clicks. Notice the shape of the barb on the hose end, it will allow the hose to go in but not come back out.
