Transmission lag from CAI

Just installed my Volant dry filter intake into my 2011 Tahoe yesterday. Looks good, sounds great, and I'm very surprised with the throttle response I have already gotten. I have noticed though that the transmission tends to lag a little bit. Will it take some time before my Tahoe begins to learn the CAI? I know I should go ahead and program it, but I don't want to void the warranty just yet. Any input would be great

Unplug your neg battery terminal for a half hour or so. That will allow the PCM to reset and start fresh learning the new intake. You'll definitely want to get a tune, but that will help in the mean time.

Or you could do a hard reset.

Disconnect both the positive and negative from the battery terminals. Then with them disconnected and away from the battery hold them together for 30 seconds.

How does this differ from just disconnecting the negative terminal for a while?? Sorry, just never heard of this. And trying to learn something.

Its just a guaranteed quick way to reset the PCM. Without having to wait or wonder if it actually did reset.

Holding the two terminals together speeds up the process of draining all the capacitors in the vehicle.
