I hope others will contribute, but if it's within a few mm above the top HOT mark I'd leave it as-is. But I would check it periodically, too, after a good warmup (and a good scanner would tell you if the fluid temp is in the correct range for a hot test).

Okay, took it for another drive, checked it with the engine running. Added a bit, but I put just a tad too much. It’s just at the top of the hot mark. Should I try and suck/pump a little out so it lands right in the middle between the marks?
You are perfectly fine. If it were substantially overfilled, the excess would blow out of the transmission vent. Run it!

Okay. Thanks for the help everyone. I’m an overthinker in general, so sorry for the nagging. Differentials and transfer case is next to do. Hopefully those are a bit easier. I’ll learn something either way.
