Transmission Temp Gauge

Anyone have a source/part number for the transmission temp gauge for an add on to 03-06 Tahoe/Yukon? I have 2 Tahoes that I want to convert when I rebuild their instrument clusters this summer.

There's plenty of gauge rebuilders that will add it to your old gauge for $100 or less. Or maybe buy an overlay with the trans gauge on it and put in a stepper motor and you're done. One of the members did it that way.

Id rather just get the parts and do it myself. I rebuild my own clusters. No way in hell im paying anyone $100 to do anything that Ive done myself. The sierra works great and that one was rebuilt 5 years ago and its the OBS.

I updated mine for like $100, and added a nice white SS gauge backing with LEDs as well.

Ahhh, you're who I was thinking of with the overlay!

The Tahoes im just going to keep looking factory with exception to addidng the tranny temp gauge. I put my $$ into the Denali and it of course already has one. Anyone know of any places that sell the temp gauge? All these rebuilders have to be getting them from somewhere.

I added the trans gauge with another stepper motor soldered in. It's really not hard at all to complete.

The night picture is cool. Im not digging the daytime bright white. Just not my style. I am going to convert all of mine over to LED. Its no problem to do the soldering and installing the steppers. Ive done it before on my 99 OBS Sierra. I have my own soldering station. I was a ET in the industrial field for 10yrs and I owned a guitar amp repair shop for 5yrs up until I became a Federal Electronic Technician.

There are sets all over ebay, theres the salvage yards and other online sources.
