engine has 258,000 miles i have owned it since it had 100k. never had any issues other than regular maintenance

Drop the pan and see what's at the bottom then refer to my 6L80 Information thread for the link to the ATSG manual so you can research those codes and perform continuity testing on the applicable solenoid and pressure switches to confirm/deny the DTCs. You'll need to remove the TEHCM to do this testing; purchase SnapOn's 10EPL socket - this is a modified inverted Torx 12 socket specifically made for GM TEHCM/Valve Body Assembly-to-transmission case bolts...Undo the white locking latch prior to removing any bolts.
