I have a 2011 GMC Yukon XL Denali bought in December 2011 and have experienced this a few times (but not every time).

So you had to fix the problem? Was the dealership going to charge you for a factory defect? I was under the impression if it is a recall or tsb the dealership would fix at no cost to the customer?
Don't know what the deal is but i can never get the lock on a pump to stay on when fueling my truck... i cant hold it either or it stops. i have to basically find the sweet spot on the trigger and hold it there. For awhile i thought it was the pumps but i have been to a few other gas stations and it still happens. Has anyone else had this issue? whats the deal!?
I have the same exact problem. Went to 5 different gas stations around town and still have the same problem. Currently, there is only 1 particular pump at one of the stations that I do not experience this problem. The only different that I see is that you have to have a perfectly straight shot of the nozzle going into the gas tank. The tube or fuel line cannot be twisted, tangled or bent at any angle. This is the only time that I can use the lock on the nozzle and let the fuel run, otherwise I have to stand there like an idiot who fills gas for the very first time
I have always had this issue with my Trailblazer, I absolutely hate it. About 90% of the time I have to hold it 'just so,' which pumps at the rate of somewhere in between painfully slow and molasses. I especially hate it because it makes me feel like I don't know how to use the damn pump. I sincerely hope my next truck doesn't have this issue, it sure would be nice to just hook up, set the trigger and go inside to get whatever from the gas station.
