I recently purchased a 2017 tahoe, upgrading from a 2007.
Both have/had bose sound. The 07 was flawless and sounded great until the day I got rid of it.
This 2017 has an intermittent rattling sound on certain frequencies somewhere in the front passenger area. Any tips on troubleshooting this?

Bad speakers. Move the balance and fade until you isolate the door then track it down.

My 2016 with Bose had the same issue. Speakers were good but when I would press on the area just above the speaker grille it would go away. I applied some sound deadener around the metal the speaker mounts to and the inside of the door panel. Fixed it. I believe that the rattle was mainly on the door panel itself. You can check if it is the speaker or if it is the panel by playing a song or frequency that causes the rattle and then press down on the door panel. If it goes away it’s for sure the panel.
