the ngk was probably the factory plug, my 02 has dual branded plugs in it they say both ac delco and ngk on them. the previous owner of your vehicle must have been a lazy mechanic. I doubt it would affect your gas milage all that much because the o2 sensors are going to average that whole bank and probably barely notice a difference.
