You can also call a dealer (parts department) with your VIN.

If they did I would have ditched my truck a long time ago for one. Just not going to find one. I would love to have a 2wd Yukon Denali with a 4l80. If you find one post up..in the meantime for your reading pleasure..

Wow aren't you a smart guy. You sent me a link for a 2001. Maybe look at the proper year that I quoted.
Also here is a screenshot of the tech sheet for a 2002 YUKON Denali XL 1500. Note there is no mention of 4l6anything being an option for that year. I can also pull this off of alldata and mitchell.
Also when I just did a transmission service on my 2002 Yukon Denali Xl 1500 6.0L V8 AWD I definatly serviced a large ass 4L80 transmission, not the smaller 4L60.
Maybe use more reliable resources for your reading pleasure.

Yeah I have a response. why is the OP worried about losing his AWD if going to a 4l80 if he already has one according to your data.

Crawl under his skirt and see for yourself. At the end of the say it doesn't change my shit either way. Congrats on your win.

Do me a favor and take a picture of this 4l80 on your truck. I just wanna see one to make me feel better about myself..consider yourself an educator of the not so smart.

Well i can't say whats in the 2002. Not sure on that. Although a client of my detailing business has a 2002 Denali XL and I've driven it several times helping him pick up cars. His 2002 has 231k on the clock and still has original factory trans. It's still going strong and it shifts like a boss. If his has the 4L80 TRANS that would explain why he hasn't had problems with it and it's such a beast. My 2006 Denali XL has the 4L65E trans. Had to be rebuilt a couple months ago at just 83,100 miles. I was pissed that my trans went so young. And he bragged that his is going strong. Ugh. Anyways can't say what your 2002 has but my 2006 has the 4L65E trans.

4l80's only came behind the 2500 yukon xl, not to be confused with the yukon xl denali 1500 which had the 4l60/5e trans. It could have been swapped already. You can just look at the rpo code in the glove box or look at the trans. You can keep AWD with a 4l80 trans.

**edit** 2002-2003 yukon xl came with the 4l80 in them as an option, not the denali
