Okay to start in have an 02 denali xl. Have had it for a few months and love it. Has always been my dream truck. My parents picked it up at 65k and it has 211k now. Now for the fun.. I have an 87 jeep that's just sitting because I love Pam now. Named her after the chick from archer. Well a friend is going to trade me to Rayjay 60mm turbos for the jeep. Deal going through probably tomorrow. Denali is bone stock except exhaust. I was a mechanic so not dense here. 1 where can I find some good manifolds and piping kit? 2 safe boost level until I get into doing internal work? Intake manifold need to be changed? 3 AM I GONNA NUKE MY TRANS? Any help I will greatly appreciate. Happy to finally be part of the family!

I am a mechanic. However not much experience with turbos. Done all the research now. Was trying to streamline info but there seems to be little movement on this forum. Will post pics when it's finished

For manifolds, flip your stock ones. Boost levels are negligible. Plenty of people throwing 20+ to bone stock 5.3's and 6.0's with supporting fuel mods. 4l80 should hold a fair bit of power without any problems.

Look at performancetrucks.net. plenty of guys running boosted engines and really pushing the limits. Given the size of your truck and potential power level I would jump to a 4l80 as they seem to be rather stout and can handle around 7-800hp with a shift kit and tune. A stock 4l80 is comparable to a very well built 4l60.

Fairly certain that the Denali's come factory with the 4l80.
Only the 2500 series suvs had the 4l80 to my knowledge. My motor came with a 4l80, but it was in a 2500 suburban.

The 02 denali does have the 4L80.
You can also call a dealer (parts department) with your VIN.
