How about your front hubs? My NNBS has bad inner tire wear and the hubs are shot. Needs 2 new hubs and 2 new front tires. Rears look fine. Was just aligned again this week when the shop put the drop on it. Shop said your hubs are shot, alignment won't be perfect, but safe to drive as I told them hubs were getting done and aligned again right away.

Hmmm I guess that’s something to check on as well. I’ll report back.

Agree with all that is said about an alignment check with a print out for any suspension/steering work. No assumptions and you can bet that is not done on a check at the dealer. It is just a sight/wear inspection.

Oh man. Hmmm I actually don’t recall seeing a print out at 66k when they replaced my shocks. But they do have an alignment line item in there that says something like.

“Alignment complete. Set back to factory settings”

I assumed that meant an alignment was done. I’m guessing an alignment should be done after doing that type of work.

But let’s assume an alignment wasn’t done at 66k. I’m still not able to add up why my rears are fine and my fronts are not after only 750 miles after last service at 77k.

If this is the same dealer I’m wondering why these are itemized differently, and also why is an alignment also listed under the recommended service? Something isn’t adding up, I would pay the dealer a visit and clarify with the service writer/manager.

Sure I can post pics a little later. Here’s a list of items done at the service 750 miles ago.

- tire rotation / oil
- replace L/F sway bar link
- wheel alignment check
- R/F axle seal leaking, replace inner shaft seal
- stabilizer shaft link replacement

***
- Recommended service - 4WD service, throttle body engine pro fuel injection, 4 tires and alignment

Same dealer. The first section you quoted was from the 66k service after shocks were replaced.

The second section you quoted was from my 77k service 4 weeks ago. I’m guessing they recommending an alignment because they are recommending 4 new tires.

But you’re right. I should pay them a visit. Im Scheduled to go in on Monday.

750 miles causing that much tire wear means something is definitely not right. Do you have any pictures?

Here are some pics. First one is my rear. Tread is low but no uneven wear and innner is fine. You can actually see and feel the tread. 2nd 3rd 4th pic are fronts. You can see the uneven wear. The inners are bald, no tread at all.

Looks like either toe out problem or negative camber. I would definitely want an alignment printout of what the readings are now and then after an alignment. The wear on the inner part will not stop, even after proper alignment. Those tires, all of them, need replaced and if you wait for a while to do that, then rotate front to back asap.

It won’t stop ??? Even after new tires + alignment ?
