Please post what you find that works. My 1997 Tahoe came with an OEM box which was where I stored my tow strap and jumper cables. I’ve been looking for a similar box for my 2019 Z71 Tahoe but haven’t yet found one that’s a good fitt.

So is mine but mounted to the rad support so with it there and the hoses running out of it makes a nice little nook to keep a spare gallon of washer fluid sitting there.
is that what you guys are calling moonshine these days!

Commenting to follow thread. Advance Auto Parts had a battery box that fit that spot nicely but the body support crossbar thing made it too tight to fit and wouldn't allow the box lid to be removed without removing that support bar, eliminating the convenience of the whole idea. The ammo boxes seem cool, too, but too small for long jumper cables.

This is harder than I thought it would be. Finding something that utilizes that space properly is proving to be very difficult.

What is the consensus about being weather tight? On one hand it is nice if it stays dry but we all know thats not realistic. If a “weather” tight box gets wet inside we all know it won’t dry out. Maybe a battery box will work....
