From 2007-2009 that L76 was available as an option on the Yukon XL, Suburban and Avalanche.
I would say so, especially since it had AFM and made less horsepower than the 6.2 and was not FlexFuel capable like the L9H and L94.
The L76 was rated at 366 HP @ 5500 RPMs and 380 FT LBS of Torque @ 4300 RPMs. About the same as the LY6/L96. In the first two years it was paired with the 4L70 and then the 6L80 in 2009.
Interesting...now that you mention it I do recall hearing of some 6.0 Avalanches, I know they offered the 6.2s in the Avalanche only in 2010 but I believe ONLY in Canada...I would love to hear some production numbers on the Burb, Yuk XL and Avalanche with the 6.0, especially the 09's with 6l80e, I would think it would be an even rarer combo than the 09 Tahoes with the 6.2s....
Its an 09 Tahoe with a 6.2, so it's an L9H with no AFM. The owner slapped on badges and threw on some wheels from a hyprid Tahoe. That vortec max max badge is from an 07, 08, or very early 09 Silverado with the LY6 6.0. There were LY6 vortec max in 09 that had a 4 speed auto, then the 6 speed, then a switch to the L9H 6.2 in the same year. 2009 was a confusing year for GM, lol .
VortecMAX badge was first placed on 2006 NBS trucks and they had the LQ9 6.0, never seen a VortecMAX NNBS with the 6l80e only with the 4l70e, but wouldn't surprise me if a few made it into production but they must be VERY rare, also I think you mean L76 not LY6, LY6 is an iron block low compression 6.0 that replaced the LQ4 and it was used in the NNBS 07-11 2500 trucks...
