The same radiator, same exact price and it appears, almost as Amazon & Walmart share inventory and warehouse. Is it possible that Walmart took their inventory back from Amazon?

I bought another one from Walmart for $40 more. No restricted address funny business this time.

Amazon is looking into why their own company can not ship another radiator to me.
Called Amazon back a few days later to see why they’re giving me the runaround. Asked for a Supv. Nothing unusual or extraordinary and the guy apologizes for past Reps KooKoo behavior and says keep the damaged radiator and refund the $2h purchase price.

Then he put another $180 credit on the account to allow me to purchase a higher priced OEM radiator from another seller.

Speechless, but thankful.

Well, if it’s not one thing it’s the other. The wife’s 07 VW vert Beetle trans swap didn’t go smoothly. The 38k used donor CVT trans had issues.

Looks like the Indi is going to rebuild the existing trans as a rebuilt one is over $5k. Can’t drop off the Eski for the front end rebuild until the bug is done.

few different kinds of cvt tranny. anything with the metal belt that works kinda like a gas golf cart isn't going to be great long term. any of the other types that use gears and motors to change the ratios are good for a long time.

thetes a video of a guy that took a prius welded a 5th wheel ball on the roof, reinforced it. hooked up a huge goose next trailer to it, loaded up some crazy monster truck on it and went for a drive. they guessed 30k lbs on it and the cvt tranny never even got hot. but that's a Toyota built cvt that routinely go 300K without even fluid change and not a belt type.

I know zero about the vw tranny. I just saw bad cvt at 30k and figured the common belt cvt that fall apart every 80 to 100k (sadly that's about all new clutch type gm and Ford trannys are good for as well) where there are cvt trannys that don't use a belt drive and last much much longer. but still get a bad name because of the cvt name.

It was almost a decade ago I thought the 09g was a cvt. Never would have known differently unless you chimed in. Grateful for it.
