Thank you guys for the feed back and I went with the 08 Tahoe Z71 144k miles reasonable price for it , Clean well maintained by a older couple that traded it in for a Enclosed trailer.So i think I did well for my 1st SUV eventually in time I will get the 2012 Denali … but for now I am Satisfied and looking forward to adding mods to it … Also i order the Range device for the AFM & DOD issues…

From experience I would lean towards the Denali. Seems like all of them are in the same mileage boat, give or take. The 6.2L should be a trouble free motor if it was serviced correctly. As stated, the 5.3L motors had their issues and I wouldn't personally buy one. I had the previous Gen 5.3L and loved it, new AFM ones not so much.
Not to be stereo typical, but generally speaking I have found that premium vehicles tend to be in better condition with age because the owners invested in good upkeep to make their investment last. I know this isn't a fool proof thought, just a speculation. I see more Denalis cruising down the road with just a business man in it. I see WAY more base model yukons, tahoes, and suburbans with kids everywhere. LOL
Take the above advice, test drive, inspect everything you can for functionality. You'll know what you need after some seat time. Good luck!

Pretty good advice on here, and I've been helped several times over the years, but here's my story, just to balance it out.
I have a 2007 Tahoe LS, bought it in 2017 with 147K miles and it had regular maintenance...it was a state vehicle. 5.3L flex-fuel WITH AFM. It was my daily driver until I retired in late 2021 with daily 110 mile round trips, plus several runs across country over the years from CA to TX, KS, WA, and MT. In addition I used it to respond to large fires all over CA, so it went EVERYWHERE!
Once I retired, it doesn't get driven as much, but it's still my primary driver. It currently has 320,000 on the original engine, and after turning off AFM and fixing a leaky oil pan gasket a few years ago, I'm not losing any oil.
The 5.3 is a solid motor if you get a good one and (I stress this) do proper and regular maintenance. Your mileage may vary, but they can be a solid ride. Good luck!

True this. Pretty scary it’s a 300k mi platform when maintained. As the features and options increase, so do the odds of repairing the little luxury
items.

I have a 07 Tahoe with a 5.3L bought it with 24k and it's at 307k now and I still drive it every day. I have had very few issues with mine other than regular maintenance until about 275k at that point I did a replacement of the cam sensor, timing chain/tensioner, cam and crank sprockets and oil pick up tube seal because the chain tensioner crapped out and caused problems.
With those AFM vehicles it is vitally important to change the oil frequently. I do mine every 3,000-3,500 religiously. Also, if you buy one with AFM have it tuned to shut it down or buy a plug in to shut it down. The AFM process is very ******* the lifters and cam. You should pay close attention to lifter noise and if the lifter are noticeably rattling, especially after warm up. You might want to avoid it unless you can buy it for the right price and have the ability to fix it. Also, another issue with those engines are the oil pick up tube seal get hard over time and doesn't seal and you will slowly lose oil pressure over time.
All in all, I wouldn't be scared of a higher mileage vehicle just do your home work.
